Our Story So Far
We are proud to be the longest standing Chiropractic clinic in the Wairarapa. Formerly known as Field Chiropractic Clinic, Ben and Monique Bruce bought the practice from Terry Field in 2015. In 2016 we rebranded to become Wairarapa Chiropractic.
Since then we have grown from a husband and wife team to three chiropractors — Dr Ben Bruce, Dr Jo-anne Twiggins and Dr Cameron Volman — who are supported by four chiropractic assistants (CA’s).
From the moment you walk through the front door, we want you and your family to feel at home here. Our friendly team of CA’s will greet you and make sure you’re well looked after. We realise that sometimes it can be a bit daunting trying something like chiropractic for the first time, or seeing a different chiropractor, so we try our utmost to create an atmosphere where you can relax and feel comfortable.
We have a designated kids and babies area so you can bring your little ones along, there is an area of privacy for you to feed bubs and a nappy change area as well if needed.
We are the only chiropractic clinic in the Wairarapa to offer x-ray facilities onsite, and patient safety is paramount to us. We offer hands-on manual adjustments, instrument-assisted methods and a range of other techniques.
Our highly trained chiropractors are here to provide you with quality care, whether it be short-term relief from niggly pain that is stopping you from having the fun you want, to a more involved approach to stabilise your spine to help prevent annoying relapses and keep you at your best.
We are trained to look after all ages, from new-borns right through to the elderly. First and foremost we will listen, and then after all the information is gathered, we will work alongside you to determine the best approach to suit your needs.
We have a range of opening hours to suit the busy lives of our patients, so phone us on 06 3770823 to learn more.
We look forward to meeting you!
The team at Wairarapa Chiropractic.
Meet the Chiropractors

(B. Chiro) MNZCA - Chiropractor
Hi I'm Ben and I grew up here in the Wairarapa and my introduction to chiropractic came through sustaining a back injury whilst participating in Tae kwon Do at age 15. Seeing a chiropractor then helped me out so much and got me back on my feet right away and this had a real impact on me. I decided to pursue a career in this field to help others in the same way it had helped me.
I graduated from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2008, and after starting and working out of two practices in Auckland for almost 10 years, the opportunity arose for me to come home with my wife Monique to take over Field Chiropractic Clinic, which had been in operation by Terry Field for almost 40 years. I am really grateful to continue the great service Terry provided to the community while also adding in my own style as well. We have recently rebranded the practice to ‘Wairarapa Chiropractic’.
I make it a priority to attend seminars and conferences to keep up to date with the latest developments in chiropractic research and techniques so that I can continue to provide the best and most effective care possible for our patients. I’m proficient in both Activator (instrument-delivered) and manual (more ‘hands on’) chiropractic techniques and am really open to finding out a) whether chiropractic is a good fit for you and if so b) which techniques you prefer or are best suited to get you the results you are looking for.
I am really loving being home and part of the community again, and am looking forward to raising our family here.

Kia Ora, I’m Cam.
I was born and raised in the Hawkes Bay on a crop farm around four brothers and a sister. Being raised in a big family was hectic but at the same time exciting and always adventurous.
Whilst playing rugby, I sustained a back injury which slowed me down and that’s when I first discovered the magic of chiropractic. Within just a few visits I was out of pain, and back on the field firing on all cylinders! I was amazed at how quickly I was back on my feet and this really had an impact on me.
The timing was perfect as I was coming to the end of my high school years and contemplating my next step in life. Chiropractic was exciting and a logical choice. I could help people in a meaningful way and make a difference in their lives, just like my chiropractor had done for me.
I graduated from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and could not wait to get out of the rat –race of Auckland, that is why choosing to start my next chapter in the Wairarapa was a no brainer.
I am thoroughly enjoying the Wairarapa lifestyle, being part of the Gladstone Rugby team and working in such a close knit, friendly community
I am proficient in a range of chiropractic techniques from a manual (or hands on) approach through to Activator (adjustments delivered with a hand-held instrument). I believe that taking the time to listen to the patient and why they seek care is very important in helping to achieve each individual’s health goals.
I look forward to meeting you and seeing how chiropractic can help!

I moved to New Zealand from South Africa at the age of 9, and I've been privileged to be raised as a Kiwi kid on the North Shore of Auckland.
I met my husband, Kevin, 12 years ago and since then we have had three gorgeous little boys. In 2016, we moved our family to Masterton to join Wairarapa Chiropractic and are absolutely loving the more relaxed lifestyle here and the incredible community we now get to be part of.
In 2001, I started studying chiropractic, having grown up going to our local chiropractor each school term with my family for a regular 'tune up'.
I liked the idea that chiropractic looked to the cause of a problem rather than just the symptoms, and through the years at chiropractic college and the last 9 years of practice, I've enjoyed seeing how chiropractic care can help people of all ages function at their best. It's about helping the body to stay fit and healthy and strong through a well functioning nervous system. I've enjoyed teaching my boys these health principles as well as passing on this knowledge to others in our community.
I love being able to work with people of all different ages and stages. With a special interest in helping babies and toddlers express the best health possible, I have had the privilege of helping many children in the Wairarapa to express their health more fully. Overall, I enjoy helping the whole family, from the youngest to the oldest, to function to their fullest through gentle, effective chiropractic care.
I look forward to meeting you soon.

Hi I’m Monique. For the past 14 years I have been in management and have a passion for leadership, development and customer service.
I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their life stories. Being married to Ben, I have heard him talk about the amazing changes he’s seen in his work, and now being involved in the practice, I get to see and hear about them first hand from our patients.
I am loving getting to know the Wairarapa, my new home.
I look forward to seeing you in the new practice soon.
Hi I'm Grace and I grew up here in the Wairarapa.
I was first introduced to chiropractic care in 2007 as a patient. I have been with Wairarapa Chiropractic since 2015 and I love being part of the team.
I especially enjoy meeting new patients and celebrating the success they have after each visit. I am continuing to learn about how the body functions and works to heal itself.
I have a passion for health, fitness, and caring for the body. I’m also a major foodie and love trying out new places to eat. In my spare time you are most likely to find me at Riversdale beach or supporting the East Coast rugby team.

I live in Masterton with my husband Paul and our 3 boys. We have a small lifestyle block close to town. Its great watching our boys be boys, playing in mud, chasing sheep and climbing trees.
As a family we love spending time at Castlepoint. I enjoy baking and cake decorating when I can find time!
